Wow, I can’t believe I’m one of the first. This never happens.
I just finished watching your concert in its entirety. Excellent job, Hank! I’m sorry you still had to drink the Strawberry Hill/peeps. I was rooting for you to have water in My Pants.
hank, i just realized, you say this was John’s idea and he pulled you into it and all, but let’s face it. YOU had the first word, and YOU will have the last!
Really Hank, it wasn’t as horrible as you think. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Though, I’m probably slightly biased because you’re like the co-King of the Nerdfighters… I must admit, I am extremely curious about what the Strawberry Hill/peep drink was like…
I’m almost literally crying because of his last words!!!! Hank Green, John Green, Nerdfighters, Brotherhood 2.0…FTW!!!! (DFTBA…and please don’t leave us!)
You didn’t seem to do bad at all (from what you showed anyways!). I totally wish I could have flown over to see it. If only I was a millionaire (or maybe just not a poor student).
First, from what I saw, you weren’t that bad, pretty good actually.
I hadn’t realized that tomorrow would be Johns last video. That just made my day very gloomy. Very.
I also want to know what that peeps/strawberry hill blend tasted like.
Okay, I sing a lot, and that what I saw was really quite good. That was really exceedingly brave…I’m the head of an a capella group and I still shake after I sing solos. Consider me impressed.
Hank has serious guts. I would not have stepped foot on that stage, let alone sing in front of a crowd. Judging by the clips, the concert wasn’t bad at all! It was hi-larious!!
i’m so proud of you hank!
i’m off to watch the whole show. thank you guys so much for this last year full of fun.
i’m unsure of my feelings towards johns video tomorrow. there is a lot of apprehension for sure.
Aw, Hank…from what you showed in the video, you weren’t bad at all! And far braver than I ever could be. Major kudos!! I so wish I could’ve been there, but there’s quite a distance between Indianapolis and Missoula.
Think of it as a great story to tell your kids someday. Actually, this whole year would make a great story.
Hank, watching the entire show today was a totally different experience than watching it streaming yesterday. Yesterday even though we couldn’t really see or hear very well, it was fun to cheer you on real-time! So thanks for doing that. Today when I was watching I got a much better sense of how things went. I think that you handled the whole thing quite well, even the little hiccups that happened. YAY YOU!!!
Did you throw up on stage? No? Then it definitely could have been worse. I know that feeling though, the feeling that is the opposite of accomplishment and relief — relief and what should be accomplishment but is just this mediocre disappointment that hovers around your brain like a dusty halo for a few days. Every time someone says “good job!” it’s like a tiny stab in the gut because you think everyone’s just being nice…
but REALLY.
Hank, that recap was awesome. I really, really wish I could have been there. You sang ‘accio’ differently! I’m really really excited to watch the whole thing over on youtube. You didn’t -seem- nervous, if that’s any consolation. You seemed very much at home, and your guitar playing was far upwards from mediocre.
And holy crap. John’s last B2.0 video. Tomorrow. I won’t lie to either of you; I’m unbelievably sad to see this project ending. You two are the reason I love watching video blogging. You helped me pass many long, hot days (during all of which your song was stuck in my head in the best possible way) in Billings, Montana when I had no drivers license and nowhere to go. I’ve laughed with you guys countless times, and you’ve truly enriched not only my year, but the year of nerdfighters everywhere. Nerdfighteria is something to be reckoned with- hell, if we can take over youtube, decreasing world suck really seems within our grasp.
And because I’m waxing poetical, let me just sum up: Thank you, brothers Green. We appreciate all that you’ve shared with us over this year, and our once-a-day scheduled helping of nerdfighter supplements will be very sorely missed. I don’t need to remind either of you never to forget to be awesome.
Indeed. I really can’t believe this is it for B2.0. I hope the nerdfighters will carry on…and maybe John and Hank will post videos every so often? Maybe? Please?
made of awesome.
i don’t think i’d ever have the balls to do that so good job good job *clap clap*
When I was in winterguard whenever we finished something someone would should good job good job and the rest of us would clap twice….nerdfighter!
Hank, if you haven’t seen ‘Annie Hall’ you should check it out, because Diane Keaton as Annie Hall sings at a nightclub for the first time, and people aren’t listening and bus boys are making noise with dishes, and she has a horrible first gig, too. But from the sound of it, your first gig is still pretty awesome. (Anytime someone sings “Accio Deathly Hallows” is a good time.)
I sang “Accio” at work ALL NIGHT!!! My fellow employees wondered if I had fallen on my head recently and I tried to explain my longing for Missoula, Montana. All in all, despite being your last video, tonight was great and I REALLY hope you’ll reconsider the just one year. Even if it isn’t every day, your videos, jokes, projects, punishments…all of it has been a source of comfort and laughter for all of Nerdfighter kind. I applaud you both for your amazing accomplishment for reaching out in a way no one else was able to and bring one of the most renowned shut-in groups out in the open and ready for something new. We love you brothers Green,
Excellent recap. I’m off to watch the whole video now.
One of my new years resolutions is to use those grocery tote bags instead of plastic bags. I bought two from Kroger tonight and used them. It felt great! I know Kroger and Walmart offer them, but I’m sure there are others that sell them. Everyone should do the same going forward!
Hank, great job!! I just had a sad thought…on Monday you will not say “John, I’ll see you tomorrow.” I get sad thinking what you will say. Will it just end in a “goodbye nerdfighters” or just a smile? This vlog has been a great way for me to feel part of a group while my husband is overseas and I am here with small nerdfighters. I will truely miss my “Green time”. Thanks for doing this for a full year and I have high hopes for your post vlog life. Good luck John and Hank.
Oh, Hank - you are far too hard on yourself… it wasn’t bad - it was just the first time…
And you can choose not to do it again (which it sounds like you have done) but don’t choose that because you think you failed, choose it because you don’t want to do it! (man, I am such a mom!!! )
OH CRAP!! John’s last video is tomorrow??!!! Which means Hank’s last video is on Monday!!!! AUGH!!!! You told us this was gonna happen but now it feels so real!!!
Kudos for the courage to do the concert, Hank! I definitely enjoyed it! I still enjoy the list of your songs on my Ipod a little bit more, however!
You are very talented, despite being a little nervous. Seriously, props for performing that very public punishment.
In unrelated news: Nepal abolished their monarchy! I saw it in the news, and it reminded me of a very very old challenge, something to do with drinking strawberry hill and discussing the political situation in Nepal.
“Welcome to my concert. I will be your performer and you are to call me Dr. Xanzibar!”
Reminded me of your “The Other Side of the Desk” article, Hanker. You were nervous but you totally delivered! I have no “Chatahootchee” to speak of much less my own arsenal of self-made tunes. My Karaoke cherry needs some serious poppin’ before I’d even consider doing what you did. I know I know, no one’s going to do it for me, it’s something…that….I have to …do. MAN, THAT sounded creepy. Haha.
Well done - extremely brave. Character building. However, no 500 miles. That would have been a show-stopper. Thank you such wonderful entertainment.
On the world suck meter. I fear it may be going up again with Pakinstan.
Don’t be so hard on yuorself, Hank–You were very entertaining! Wish I could have been there to see it live, but it was fun to hear the songs again on YouTube. I don’t know what I’ll do with myself when B2.0 is over!
I’m finally letting the feeling that B2.0 is ending in two more videos. and its really not a good feeling. I hope I dont cry at the end of your next video Hank! but knowing me, I just might.. :/
do you think it would be possible for you guys to sell every single episode on one completely awesome dvd? kinda a ‘Brotherhood 2.0…The Complete Series’ type thing?!!!!!
i’m totally serious! i would for sure purchase one, and i’m sure loads of other nerdfighters would too!
you could give the money to decrease world suck!!!!!!
I wish I could of been there but alas I live in Virginia and I am 15. But I feel so bad for Hank. I wish I coulda seen it live but I didn’t know and I WAS HOME!!!!!!!!!!! I went on a rant about it at my house and everyone got really annoyed.
I watched the concert on youtube and I thought you sounded really good, Hank, especially since it was your first time preforming in public like that. I’ve noticed that preformers are always their toughest critic (I know I am my own worst critic.) Great job Hank, and kudos for actually drinking the peepwine.
What a perfect birthday present. Thursday was my birthday and I enjoyed watching the recap of the concert! Seriously Hank you really did a good job for your first time. You didn’t get boo’d! That would have been awesome if the place was packed with nerdfighters.
From that excerpt, I think that you can be proud of yourself. Well, maybe not proud exactly, but I don’t think you have any reason to feel bad. It was a challenge, and you were very brave to do it, and it seemed good enough - and sometimes good enough is a worthy goal.

^^ Best one-liner evar.
I think the little blurps you believe are why the concert went badly are what constitute its being made of awesome. You seem even more sincere and real by messing up or laughing in the middle of a song than you would have if you had been all stone-faced and perfect. I really like it when performers I see do stuff like forget lyrics or notes, it creates a much more unique experience.
Nerdfighters…we should have gotten him to do his happy dance up on stage at the end shouldn’t we? That would be awesome!
I watched the entire concert and it was brilliant! good show!!
From the video, I don’t think it was bad at all! I would have paid money to see it in person!!!!!!!!
Don’t forget, Hank, whenever life gets you down, or whenever you feel awful about a performance, PUT STUFF ON YOUR HEAD!!!
I’m proud of you for doing such an AWESOME JOB! I could never perform songs (and I’m an acting Nerdfighter!).
DON’T FORGET TO BE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hank, I am horrified for you. I just want you to know, that I did not want for that to be your punishment. You did really well, but overall, that punishment in general was just as bad as when John waxed his face.
Awesome concert!
Even though you did not, in fact, sing either of my songs.
I don’t care! I’ll keep asking! Until the very end!!!!!!!!
PLEASE!!!!!
Two videos left until the end.
Chances are not looking good.

Hank, please sing my Accio Deathly Hallows or It’s Too Hot sequel in a video. I will keep posting this message until you either sing it, or say no to this request in a video.
Live performances are always more nerve-racking than one anticipates. Even though more people probably saw you on Accio Deathly Hallows than could ever fit inside the performance space (or, for that matter, in the available hotel space in your town), it’s much easier to pretend that the camera is really nobody, or only John. A room that contains people who are actually breathing and giggling and moving around in their chairs is much harder to forget about.
Says Kelly, who used to be in a rock band once upon a time, a long time ago.
I just want you to know that I thought you did awesome! You represented Nerdfighters everywhere wonderfully!
O and also, I tried to come to the concert, but I live a little over a days drive from Missoula, and my parents just weren’t entirely comfortable with me making a long and hastily planned roadtrip that close to the holidays. I hope you at least had fun, because that’s what really matters.
Wow, if I were you, I would even do 1/9999999999 as good!
You actually did very well from my point of view!
Hope you had fun!!!!!
It could have been much more worse, so look on the bright side.
Hahaha. This is great.
Hank for the win!
Wow, I can’t believe I’m one of the first. This never happens.
I just finished watching your concert in its entirety. Excellent job, Hank! I’m sorry you still had to drink the Strawberry Hill/peeps. I was rooting for you to have water in My Pants.
Uh . . . right.
wow. The pants thing never gets old.
*yay* great job, hank! AWESOME!
hank, i just realized, you say this was John’s idea and he pulled you into it and all, but let’s face it. YOU had the first word, and YOU will have the last!
Closest to the top I’ve ever been! Fantastic Hank!
Really Hank, it wasn’t as horrible as you think. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Though, I’m probably slightly biased because you’re like the co-King of the Nerdfighters… I must admit, I am extremely curious about what the Strawberry Hill/peep drink was like…
Wait, tomorrow is John’s last video?? [Counts on fingers] I’m suddenly really, really sad. This is all over way too fast.
I’m almost literally crying because of his last words!!!! Hank Green, John Green, Nerdfighters, Brotherhood 2.0…FTW!!!! (DFTBA…and please don’t leave us!)
:( Amanda
That was awesome!!! I bow down to your greatness, I would never have the guts to do that.
I loved the high five.
You didn’t seem to do bad at all (from what you showed anyways!). I totally wish I could have flown over to see it. If only I was a millionaire (or maybe just not a poor student).
Great job, Hank! The NF’s are proud of you!
You’re awesome!
First, from what I saw, you weren’t that bad, pretty good actually.
I hadn’t realized that tomorrow would be Johns last video. That just made my day very gloomy. Very.
I also want to know what that peeps/strawberry hill blend tasted like.
That drink looked as disgusting as John’s happy meal.
Hank, kudos for being such a great sport!
You rock both literally and figuratively
Okay, I sing a lot, and that what I saw was really quite good. That was really exceedingly brave…I’m the head of an a capella group and I still shake after I sing solos. Consider me impressed.
Hank has serious guts. I would not have stepped foot on that stage, let alone sing in front of a crowd. Judging by the clips, the concert wasn’t bad at all! It was hi-larious!!
Awesome punishment!
You are really a brave nerd. Getting up on stage solo and singing/guitaring at the same time… I mean wow! Hank Green I salute thee!
LMFAO
omg i’m watching the whole concert… and I almost feel bad making him do this, he was so nervous!
AWESOME JOB HANK!
i know ull remember tba
great job hank! i missed most of it live and then the sound was choppy, but still, it was awesome!
i’m so proud of you hank!
i’m off to watch the whole show. thank you guys so much for this last year full of fun.
i’m unsure of my feelings towards johns video tomorrow. there is a lot of apprehension for sure.
There will be a lot of depression for me.
Made of awesome! I’ll watch the full video of the concert later, since right now I’m stealing the computer from my best friend. XD
Also, that was THE BEST punishment that has ever occured in the history of B20, ever.
Okay, I just watched the whole thing and you were totally awesome, Hank!! Great job!
Now I *really* wish I could’ve been there.
There’s no footage of peepwine imbibing! I feel cheated.
Hank, you were nerdtastic. Thanks for being so brave for us.
Hank, watching the entire show today was a totally different experience than watching it streaming yesterday. Good job
You know, that sums up how I’ve felt after every single gig I’ve played. Most of them were not any better than Hank’s.
PS awsome solo in ‘The man who throws the tetris piece’
Hank, that recap was awesome. I really, really wish I could have been there. You sang ‘accio’ differently! I’m really really excited to watch the whole thing over on youtube. Hank, you didn’t ftba! You were great! I’m proud of you for doing that concert. Not many people could have pulled it off. Kudos!
Hank FTW!
Hank, you are awesome! Not bad at all! Maybe you should think about going on tour…haha

Haven’t watched the rest yet, but Katherine’s response of “It looks like throw up!” was exactly what my mom said…ha

I agree. First times are not known for being Awesome. You have to keep trying to get it just right. Keep trying Hank.

Any chances we’ll get a few videos here or there throughout 2008?!
Wasn’t that eating five sheets of toilet paper while discussing the political situation in Nepal?
;)

3 CHEERS FOR HANK!!
HIP HIP…
Hurray!
Huzzah!
Well done - extremely brave. Character building. However, no 500 miles. That would have been a show-stopper. Thank you such wonderful entertainment.
On the world suck meter. I fear it may be going up again with Pakinstan.
On the contrary–he did perform 500 miles!
Don’t be so hard on yuorself, Hank–You were very entertaining!
Wish I could have been there to see it live, but it was fun to hear the songs again on YouTube. I don’t know what I’ll do with myself when B2.0 is over!
*yourself…
I’m finally letting the feeling that B2.0 is ending in two more videos. and its really not a good feeling. I hope I dont cry at the end of your next video Hank! but knowing me, I just might.. :/
In your heart of hearts, you don’t want it to be over. Listen to your combined hearts of hearts’s and keep up video-idge!! *Tear* Pweeease?????
I would seriously pay money for a concert DVD. Please put something like that together. Full length.
Awesome, Hank. Pure and clean.
do you think it would be possible for you guys to sell every single episode on one completely awesome dvd? kinda a ‘Brotherhood 2.0…The Complete Series’ type thing?!!!!!
i’m totally serious! i would for sure purchase one, and i’m sure loads of other nerdfighters would too!
you could give the money to decrease world suck!!!!!!
I commpletely agree with ^! Especacaially if ytou could make it availiable at an actual store (I can’t buy stuff over the Internet!)
I’vce come to terms with the end of the daily videos, but pretty pretty please at least post a few in 2008. It’s really not asking for much!
What a shame your audience couldn’t enjoy the party-blower solo!
I was kind of hoping there would be a joined video on Monday, december 31st! This is very corny, but the end of B2.0 makes me really sad.
I’m so proud of Hank. It takes a lot of guts to do what he did. I’m totally impressed!!!!!
I managed to catch it live via webcam, which was cool. The bit where Hank explains summoning charms is the best.
Hank, will you post the full video, because the one that was linked to had kinda crappy video and audio quality, and i wanna download it.
I wish I could of been there but alas I live in Virginia and I am 15. But I feel so bad for Hank. I wish I coulda seen it live but I didn’t know and I WAS HOME!!!!!!!!!!! I went on a rant about it at my house and everyone got really annoyed.
You sounded good, Hank. I wish that I lived in Montana instead of Ohio
OH MY GOD!!! YOU SANG ALL MY FAVE SONGS!!! I miss the party blower solo. Werent party blowers allowed into the Badlander?
I watched the concert on youtube and I thought you sounded really good, Hank, especially since it was your first time preforming in public like that. I’ve noticed that preformers are always their toughest critic (I know I am my own worst critic.) Great job Hank, and kudos for actually drinking the peepwine.
What a perfect birthday present. Thursday was my birthday and I enjoyed watching the recap of the concert! Seriously Hank you really did a good job for your first time. You didn’t get boo’d! That would have been awesome if the place was packed with nerdfighters.
“37 ways to screw up”….
…..in a row???
Kevin Smith Nerdfighter
Nooooooo!!! Last John Video!!!! *sob*
Great job Hank! We’re going to miss you guys so much in ‘08!
Aw, Hank, it really wasn’t as bad as you think. It was your first (and probably your last) time, so you were entitled to make some mistakes.
It’s all right, we enjoyed it.
From that excerpt, I think that you can be proud of yourself. Well, maybe not proud exactly, but I don’t think you have any reason to feel bad. It was a challenge, and you were very brave to do it, and it seemed good enough - and sometimes good enough is a worthy goal.

Great concert. Ya done us proud.
Great Job Hank!!!
Nerdfighters…we should have gotten him to do his happy dance up on stage at the end shouldn’t we? That would be awesome!
I watched the entire concert and it was brilliant! good show!!
DFTBA!
ps…wow it’s John’s last video!!!
Hank that was AWESOME! i don’t think it was bad at ALL. I couldn’t have even been HALF that good if I tried. You were awesome, I loved it.
Note to self: NEVER mix peeps with strawberry hill. That just looked DISGUSTING.
hehehehe
DFTBA
I thought it was great! It gave me lots of smiles that kinda look like this one:
Huzzah! Did you drink the peepwine? Or did you suffer in thirstyness? I’ll go watch the full concert and find out.
Hank, do you think that you could post the footage that Katherine took because i think it might be better quality then that of Gensm11’s videos
John’s last video blog?! ON NO!!!! It’s all ending sooo fffasssttt
!!!!!!
Ahh!
The end is near.
Off to watch the concert.
I’m still sad.
This was soo awesome.
Hank, I am horrified for you. I just want you to know, that I did not want for that to be your punishment. You did really well, but overall, that punishment in general was just as bad as when John waxed his face.
Totally agreee
I just finished watching the whole concert and I thought it was awesome!
hoo haa nerdfighters!!
just a tough venue Hank, keep up the singing. You ARE the next Bono. Can’t believe this whole brotherhood adventure is coming to an end, so sad.
Cheer up Hank, I thought that you did a great job drinking the wine!
And the music was pretty good too.
You did a great job In My Pants!

Hank, I am so proud of you.

Those videos were the best birthday present ever.
12/27! WOO!
:D
Congratulations, Hank.
